When we moved to Chicago, we decided to build a new home for the first time after buying finished homes in the past. Of course, we heard all of the horror stories as we talked to friends about the process.

As you know, we were faced with selling our beautiful home just one year and four months after moving into it due to another, and rather unexpected, corporate relocation.

Everyone was extremely surprised and impressed that we sold in just 3 days! In reality, it was 2 days: we were on the MLS on Wednesday, had a great offer on Thursday and sold on Friday morning!

Also, the appreciation that we realized in the relatively short period of time in which we were able to enjoy our wonderful home is quite astounding!!!

We feel that our buyers - who, by the way, recognized the quality and beauty of our Oak Hill home - will experience that same kind of appreciation during the time in which they live in the house.

Everyone who has seen our house has been obviously impressed by its quality and beauty. We have heard so many times from people, "We should have built with Oak Hill!"

In fact, when one of our neighbours heard of our impending relocation, she tried to her husband to sell their house and buy ours. They both love our home!

However, we got official word of the relocation toward the end of January, had all the appraisals etc. done in February and had sold by 3 March! The process was really very quick!!!

We are grateful to all of the people involved in the Oak Hill organization (would not want to mention names for fear of missing someone).

However, I feel it is necessary to comment on you, Nick, the builder. As you know, the building of this house was my responsibility and I researched the builders thoroughly!

My husband calls me "the queen of research". I am not "wowed" by fancy models or decorating etc.

I examined/compared all the facts re: construction, design and standard features and came to the conclusion that Oak Hill left the others in the dust!

Family and friends in Canada - we built our house when we were being relocated from Canada to this area of the US - thought that we were crazy to undertake such a project from that distance.

I responded that I felt confident with this because I believed in the product AND because I had faith in the integrity of Nick Stanitz, both as a person and as a builder.

You lived up to my expectations, Nick, as has the beautiful home that you built for us. My only disappointment is that you are not building in our new locale!
